How to Build a Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Runner

There is only one Duel Runner race that you must complete to progress through the story of "Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's World Championship 2010: Reverse of Arcadia" for the Nintendo DS. After this race, any additional races are just side-quests you can complete to earn prizes and status. You automatically get a Duel Runner as part of the game's main plot, but you can also purchase new parts from the in-game shop and dismantle your previous Duel Runner to build a new one from the ground up.

Instructions

  Play through the game until you reach Satellite -- Slum near the beginning of Chapter 2, which is a flashback chapter. You enter this area shortly after finding the card shop.

  Head to the right from the entrance of this area once the map loads -- this will take you to the screen where the Duel Runner Shop is located. Go down one screen from here to find Yusei.

  Speak with Yusei to initiate a Duel Runner race. Once the race is over, the Duel Runner Shop will be unlocked. Backtrack to the shop and enter.

  Speak with the man at the counter to purchase parts for your Duel Runner. When you have the parts you want, exit the store and press "X" to bring up a menu.

  Select the "Customize Duel Runner" option, then press "Customize." Follow the on-screen prompts to replace each part of your Duel Runner with a better part from the shop. Return to the shop any time you wish to purchase new parts for your Duel Runner. Once you purchase a set, the next best items will become unlocked.
