How to Get the Secret Power Move in Pokemon: Emerald

The ability "Secret Power" enables a Pokemon to use it in battle against its opponents. Depending on the environment, a secondary effect, such as confusion, flinch, poison or sleep, may or may not occur. More than 100 Pokemon in "Emerald" can learn the "Secret Power" move, although breeding will not cause offspring to know the ability. Players must acquire TM43 to teach a Pokemon "Secret Move." In "Emerald," players can both find and purchase TM43.

Instructions

  Travel to the Hoenn region's Slateport City, located south of Route 110, north of Route 109 and west of Route 134. Travel to the open-air market in Slateport City and speak to the merchants there. Purchase "TM43" for 3,000 dollars. Players can sell other equipment to earn the money, if necessary.

  Go to Route 111 if you cannot afford to buy TM43 in Slateport City's open-air market. Route 111 rests north of Mauville City and east of Route 112. Fight every trainer along Route 112. After defeating one of the trainers, the player receives TM43 as a gift.

  Select "TM43" from the "Items" list. Select a Pokemon to learn the move. One of the Pokemon in the party will now know "Secret Power."
