Is There a Way to Make a Pokemon Forget an HM Move in Pokemon Diamond?

In "Pokemon Diamond," Hidden Machines, usually called HMs, are special moves that serve many purposes. HMs let your Pokemon use powerful attacks in battle, and they allow you to interact with your environment in the field. For instance, the Surf HM lets you swim across water, and the Dig HM gives you the ability to escape deep caves. After you teach a Pokemon an HM, you cannot make it forget the move by yourself. If you want to erase a Pokemon's HM to make room for another move, go to the Move Deleter in Canalave City.

  Pull up the in-game map. Select Canalave City to fly there. If none of your Pokemon know how to fly, you have to walk. To get to Canalave City, head west from Jubilife City until you get to Route 218. Follow the road west until you reach the city.

  Keep walking west when you enter the city. Cross the bridge separating the eastern and western halves of the city. If this is your first time entering Canalave City, your rival arrives on the bridge to fight you.

  Go inside the small house across the street from the Poke Mart. Tell the man inside that you want to delete your Pokemon's moves.

  Select a Pokemon from the menu screen that appears. Select the HM that you want to remove.
