The Official Way to Get Victini in Pokemon Black and White

Every Pokemon release since the original Game Boy games has contained a mythical Pokemon that can only be caught through a special Nintendo Event. For "Pokemon Black" and "Pokemon White," this rare and elusive Pokemon is Victini, a psychic- and fire-type Pokemon. The only official way to catch Victini is to have acquired the Liberty Pass, an item that was made available from March 4 through April 22, 2011. As of the date of publication, it is not known whether Nintendo will make the Liberty Pass available again.

Instructions

  Select "Mystery Gift" on the main menu screen. Choose "Receive Gift" and then "Get Via Nintendo WFC." The screen will turn red and the LED on the Nintendo DS will flash, indicating a connection attempt to Nintendo Wi-Fi. Wait for the screen to turn blue and you will receive the Wonder Card, which explains how to get the Liberty Pass.

  Reset the console and start the main game. Go to the nearest Pokemon Center and speak with the deliveryman by the entrance. He will give you the Liberty Pass. Take your item and head to Castelia City.

  Go to Liberty Garden, west of Castelia City. Speak to the Captain at Liberty Pier and show him your Liberty Pass. You will board the ship and immediately be taken to an exclusive area.

  Make your way to the tower in the middle of the island. Head north, defeating the members of Team Plasma that challenge you along the way. In the back room, you will find the legendary Pokemon Victini. Save your game before entering the battle and make sure your Pokemon are healed.

  Fight Victini but make sure it doesn't faint. Victini is at Level 15, so use a similar kind of Pokemon to gradually reduce its health. Throw a Poke Ball after weakening Victini to capture the Pokemon.
