How to Get a Trapinch in Pokemon HeartGold

The Pokedex in "Pokemon HeartGold" classifies Trapinch as the Ant Pit. Trapinch, a Ground-type Pokemon, has an insect-like appearance, which causes many Pokemon players to believe it is Bug-type Pokemon. In "Pokemon HeartGold," you can find a Trapinch in the Safari Zone. You need to place 25 Peak objects in the Desert section of the Safari Zone to get Trapinch. After 30 days, Trapinch will appear in the Safari Zone at Level 46 or Level 47.

  Go to the Glitter Lighthouse and heal Amphy, the sick Ampharos. Baoba will inform you the Safari Zone is open. Transverse Route 47 and Route 48 to reach the Safari Zone. Speak to Baoba, and he will give you the first challenge. Catch Geodude in the Peak area.

  Play "Pokemon HeartGold" for three more gameplay hours. Baoba will give you the second challenge. Add the Desert section to the Safari Zone with the Area Customize tool.   Place 25 small rocks, big rocks and mossy rocks in the Desert area of the Safari Zone. You can get these Peak objects from Baoba. These rocks will eventually attract Trapinch to the Desert area of the Safari Zone.

  Keep the objects in the Desert area and wait 30 days. After you wait 30 days, the 25 Peak objects will be worth 50 Peak objects. Pay 500 PokeDollars for 30 Safari Balls. Look for Trapinch in the grass and capture it with a Safari Ball.
