How to Get Headbutt in Pokemon: HeartGold

Only a select group of Pokemon can learn the attack Headbutt in "Pokemon HeartGold." Headbutt is a Normal-type attack that inflicts major damage as the user slams headfirst into its foe. Since there is a 30 percent chance the enemy will flinch and not attack at all, it is a notable bonus. Although Headbutt is not as widely available as techniques taught via TMs and HMs, a large variety of Pokemon learn the headstrong attack naturally by leveling up.

Instructions

  Find and capture a wild Pokemon that can learn Headbutt in "Pokemon HeartGold." Examples include Cubone, Aron and Snubbull.

  Raise the Pokemon's level by winning Pokemon battles. A Pokemon's experience level increases after it accumulates a predetermined amount of experience points after defeating enemy Pokemon in a fight. For instance, Cubone and Marowak can learn Headbutt once they reach Level 11.

  Choose to delete a preexisting move when "Pokemon HeartGold" asks if you want your Pokemon to learn Headbutt. Select one of the four moves your Pokemon has learned to delete it. Headbutt will replace the move you've made the Pokemon forget.
