How to Make a Black Dragon in Dragon Quest Monsters

Many of the most powerful monsters in the "Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker" video game for the Nintendo DS can be created only through a process called "Synthesis." This process combines two monsters to create a new, more powerful one. If you are familiar with older "Dragon Quest" games, you may know this process as "Breeding." Black Dragons, which have the Antimagic and Zammeister attributes, are among the monsters that can be acquired only through Synthesis.

Instructions

  Visit any of the Scout Bases located on each island throughout the world map. Although the Scout Bases are in different areas on each island, the bases themselves are identical in layout.

  Head to the rear of the Scout Base, to the Monster Synthesis booth. Talk to the girl to see a list of options. Select "Synthesis" from this list.

  Place a Bone Baron and a Great Dragon in the two slots on the Monster Synthesis screen. Press "A" to confirm these two choices.

  Select the "Synthesis" option on the next screen. You will be shown the new creature just created. Press "A" and watch the brief synthesis animation.
