How to Make Pokesav Work for 'Platinum'

Pokesav is a hacking program used to edit save files for various Pokemon games, including "Pokemon Platinum." Pokesav allows players to change a number of gameplay values, but is most commonly used to give players impossible to capture Pokemon, create Action Replay DSi cheat codes, give Pokemon nonstandard move sets, or give players Pokemon with maximum stats. Nintendo has been combating the use of Pokesav for years, and reserves the right to ban players from competitive play if Nintendo suspects players of having hacked their team.

     Download the "Pokemon Platinum" edition of Pokesav. Go to the Pokesav download page (see Resources) and click the "Download" button under the "Platinum" column.

     Double-click the pokesav.exe icon to run the program.

     Click "Open" to open your save files. You will now be able to use Pokesav to edit your "Pokemon Platinum" save files.
