How to Use Your GameShark DS

Gameshark, alongside other cheat code cartridges, traditionally offered cheats such as unlimited ammunition or unlimited lives in a game as an override. With newer consoles, such as the Nintendo DS, however, those cheat code systems didn't work. Instead, Gameshark offers saved game files to download for your Nintendo DS games. Nintendo DS saved games often feature completed levels or maximum health and ammunition. You can download and transfer them to your Nintendo DS via your USB cable.

     Go to the Gameshark website and download the game saves that you want to transfer.

     Connect your Nintendo DS to your computer via the USB dock. If you do not have the USB dock, connect the memory card to your card reader.

     Locate the game saves on your computer, highlight them and press "Ctrl" and "C" simultaneously to copy the files.

     Click "Start," then "Computer," then double-click your DS or memory card. Open the game saves folder and press "Ctrl" and "V" to paste the files.
