How to Get a Jirachi in Pearl

Jirachi is a yellow and white humanoid that prefers to float instead of walk. Pokemon legends refer to this Steel/Psychic-type Pokemon as the Wish Pokemon because it has the ability to grant three wishes every decade. Competitive players categorize Jirachi as an Uber Pokemon because of its high stats. Jirachi is one of the 12 Pokemon with Serene Grace, an ability that increases the chance of an attack causing an extra effect. You cannot capture Jirachi in the wild of "Pokemon Pearl." Therefore, you must transfer it from a third generation Pokemon game.

Instructions

    • 1

Push the "Pokemon Sapphire," "Pokemon Ruby," "Pokemon Emerald," "Pokemon FireRed" or "Pokemon LeafGreen" game pak into your Nintendo DS until it clicks into place.

    • 2

Continue from your last save point in "Pokemon Sapphire" or any other third-generation Pokemon game. Head to the nearest PokeCenter and use the Pokemon Storage System. Place the Jirachi you want to transfer in Box 1. Save your progress and power off your Nintendo DS.

    • 3

Put the "Pokemon Pearl" game card into the Nintendo DS. Power on the handheld system. On the main menu of the game, select "Migrate from [Game]." Along with five other Pokemon, choose Jirachi from your Pokemon Storage System to migrate to "Pokemon Pearl."

    • 4

Go to Pal Park on Route 221. Obtain the six Park Balls from the Park Ranger to participate in the Daily Catching Show. Look for Jirachi in the Mountain section. Catch the Wish Pokemon with one Pal Park. Capture the remaining five Pokemon to end the show.

    • 5

Access your Pokemon Storage System in "Pokemon Pearl" from any PokeCenter. Retrieve your Jirachi from one of the 18 boxes.
