How to Grow Things on Flipnote on a DSi

The Nintendo DSi Flipnote Studio allows the user to create frame-by-frame animations similar to a paper flip book or original cartoons drawn one cell at a time. Objects can appear to grow with Flipnote when the drawing on each page is slightly different than the one prior.

Instructions

    • 1

Touch "Create Flipnote" from the Flipnote Studio main menu.

    • 2

Draw a small version or the starting point of the item. Examples: If the growing item is an egg, begin with a small version of the egg. When drawing a growing flower, begin at the starting point, such as a 1/2-inch vertical line, which will represent the seedling stem.

    • 3

Add successive pages to the Flipnote by pressing the right side of the control button. Each page will contain a slightly larger drawing of the item, or a progression of growth from a starting point.

Examples: An egg would simply increase in size but retain the same shape, while a growing flower would begin to develop small leaves on the stem, a bud and eventually petals.
