How to Get a Tyorge in Pokemon SoulSilver

The fighting-type Pokemon Tyrogue eventually evolves into Hitmonlee, Hitmonchan or Hitmontop. The "Pokemon: SoulSilver" Pokedex describes Tyrogue as willing and thrilled to fight various opponents. Players cannot find Tyrogue in the wild in "SoulSilver," but receive it as a gift from a non-player character. Players can also find Tyrogue in "Diamond," "Pearl" and "Platinum" along Routes 208 and 211. Capture it in those games and trade it to "SoulSilver," if desired.

Instructions

    • 1

Travel to Mt. Mortar, located in the Johto region. It rests north of Route 42. There are four floors in Mt. Mortar, including floor 1F, 1F-2, 1F-3 and B1F. Defeat Super Nerd Markus' Slowpoke and Pokemaniac Harrison's Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Both trainers' Pokemon are between Levels 17 and 19. Continue until you reach the third floor.

    • 2

Defeat Super Nerd Hugh's Level 39 Seadra. Players can encounter many wild Pokemon in Mt. Mortar's third floor, including Machoke, Graveler and Raticate. Enter the basement floor to face Black Belt Kiyo, whose party consists of a Level 34 Hitmonlee and a Level 34 Hitmonchan. Use psychic or flying-type Pokemon against Kiyo's party for best effect.

    • 3

Defeat Kiyo in battle. As a reward, Kiyo presents a Level 10 Tyrogue to the player. Players must use Tyrogue in battle to level it. If Tyrogue is not strong enough to withstand attacks from opponent Pokemon, place Tyrogue first in your Pokemon roster. When battle begins, immediately switch Tyrogue out for a stronger Pokemon. Both Tyrogue and the second Pokemon will receive experience in battle.
