How to Get Regigigas on 'Pokemon Pearl' Without Transforming From Another Game

Regigigas stands more than 12 feet tall and weighs almost 1,000 lb., dwarfing several other Pokemon in "Pokemon: Pearl." Players encounter Regigigas only once in "Pearl," and only on the condition that Regice, Registeel and Regirock are in the player's party. However, players cannot capture or encounter Regice, Registeel or Regirock in "Pearl," but rather in several other Game Boy Advance "Pokemon" games. Most of the Pokemon also appear in "Platinum." Players can then trade these Pokemon to "Pearl" to capture Regigigas.

Instructions

  1. Finding Registeel, Regirock and Regice on 'Platinum'

    • 1

Insert "Pokemon: Platinum" into the Nintendo DS system. The player's party should consist of Pokemon around level 30. Travel along Route 228 to encounter and battle Regirock, or linger around Route 216 near Mt. Coronet to find Regice. Registeel dwells on Iron Island. Weaken all Pokemon and capture them using a Pokeball.

    • 2

Enlist a friend's assistance. On a second Nintendo DS system, insert "Pearl." Both players should visit the Oreburgh City Wi-Fi Club to obtain the Pal Pad. Access your Pal Pad from the "Key Items" list in the main menu. Select "Code," which appears beside your character's name. Exchange this code with your friend. Access the Pal Pad again and select "Register Friend Code" to add the other player as a friend. Both players can now trade with each other.

    • 3

Visit any Pokemon Center and speak to the Wi-Fi Club representative. Select your friend's name from the trade screen and choose "Invite to Trade." Trade Regice, Registeel and Regirock to "Pearl." Save your game. Go to the B5F level of Snowpoint Temple in "Pearl" to encounter Regigigas.

Capturing Regice, Registeel and Regirock in GBA Games

    • 4

Insert "Ruby," "Sapphire" Or "Emerald" into the Game Boy Advance slot of the Nintendo DS system. Resume a saved file. Enter the desert areas of Route 111 and enter the mountain there to find Regirock's Haven. Read the plaque in the first room. Move left twice and down twice. Use a Pokemon's Rock Smash ability to access the room where a level 40 Regirock dwells.

    • 5

Enter the Ancient Tomb along Route 120 and read the plaque in the first room. Move to the center of the room and use a Pokemon's Flash ability to gain access to the quarters of a level 40 Registeel. Travel to the Island Cave, located along Route 105. Stick close to the walls and run one lap around the room to gain access to a level 40 Regice's quarters. Save your game and turn off the system. Remove "Emerald," "Sapphire" or "Ruby" from the system. Insert "Pearl" into the DS port of the Nintendo DS.

    • 6

Turn on the system. Ensure that you have the National Pokedex. Players must defeat the Elite Four and see the first 150 Pokemon that appear in the Sinnoh Pokedex to earn the National Pokedex in "Pearl." This also opens Pal Park, located on Route 221. Save your game and turn off the system. Insert "Sapphire," "Emerald" or "Ruby" into the Game Boy Advance port of the Nintendo DS. Turn on the system.

    • 7

Select "Migrate From" on the "Pearl" main menu. Choose "Sapphire," "Emerald," or "Pearl," depending on the name of the game in the Game Boy Advance slot of the Nintendo DS. Choose to permanently migrate Regice, Regirock and Registeel from the Game Boy Advance game to "Pearl." Travel to the Pal Park to capture these Pokemon and finish the transfer.

    • 8

Travel to SnowPoint Temple. Players can approach Regigigas, located in the center of the room, on the fifth basement floor level, or B5F. Regigigas appears at level 70.
