How to Get the Firestone in Pearl

The Fire Stone is one of the 10 evolutionary stones in the Nintendo DS game "Pokemon Pearl." You can use an evolutionary stone to force certain Pokemon to evolve. In "Pokemon Pearl," two dozen Pokemon evolve by evolutionary stone instead of by leveling up. You can obtain the Fire Stone from Mr. Fuego at Fuego Ironworks, or you can use the Itemfinder at Stark Mountain to uncover a Fire Stone. The Fire Stone can evolve Eevee into Flareon, Vulpix into Ninetales, and Growlithe into Arcanine.

  Get Hidden Machine 03 from an old woman at Celestic Ruins. Ascend the staircases in the Lost Tower to get to the top. One of the two women will give you Hidden Machine 04. Speak to the hiker at Oreburgh Gate to get Hidden Machine 06.

  Go to Route 207, which is south of Route 206. Near the Route 206 junction, you will find Dawn, your rival. After exchanging a few words, Dawn will give you the Vs. Seeker and the Dowsing Machine. You can access the Dowsing Machine with your Poketch.

  Travel to Stark Mountain and use Hidden Machine 04 and Hidden Machine 06 to access the large room. Switch to your seventh Poketch application. Locate the Fire Stone with the Dowsing Machine. Go to the northwest corner of the room and you will find the Fire Stone in the boulder.

  Surf (Hidden Machine 03) west of Route 205 and you will arrive at Fuego Ironworks. Walk on the spin pads to get to the center of the room. At the heart of Fuego Ironworks, you will find the generator and Mr. Fuego. Speak to the man and he will give you a Fire Stone as a prize for reaching him.
