How to Get a Deep Sea Tooth in Pearl

Many wild Pokemon In "Pokemon Pearl" by Nintendo have a wild hold item. One wild hold item is the Deep Sea Tooth. The flavor text in "Pokemon Pearl" describes the Deep Sea Tooth as a silver fang that raises the Special Attack stat of Clamperl. This item is necessary if you want to evolve Clamperl into a Huntail. The only Pokemon that holds the Deep Sea Tooth in the wild are Sharpedo and Carvanha.

Instructions

  Catch a Zigzagoon and train it to Level 29, which is when it will learn Covet. Linoone will learn Covet at level 35 if you evolve the Zigzagoon into a Linoone before it learns Covet. You can use Covet to weaken and steal items from a Pokemon.

  Fly to Snowpoint City and take the ferry to go to the Fight Area. Speak to the Fishing Guru near the gate of the Fight Area. The Fishing Guru will give you the Super Rod, which is the best Rod in "Pokemon Pearl." You need this rod to catch Sharpedo and Carvanha.

  Go to the Safari Zone, Route 213 or Route 222. Stand in front of any body of water. Go to your Bag and select the Super Rod to use it. Continue using the Super Rod until you encounter a Sharpedo or Carvanha.

  Steal the Deep Sea Tooth from the Carvanha or Sharpedo with Covet. Only five percent of wild Carvanha and Sharpedo hold the Deep Sea Tooth. You may have to encounter dozens of Carvanha and Sharpedo before your Pokemon steals the Deep Sea Tooth.

  Press the "A" button and select "Pokemon." Take the Deep Sea Tooth from the Pokemon who stole it using Covet. The Deep Sea Tooth will go to the "Items" section of your Bag.
