How to Get a Poke-Flute in Pokemon SoulSilver

The Poke Flute is a key item in the Pokemon games. When used on the field, it plays a tune that wakes up sleeping Pokemon, such as wild Snorlax that would otherwise block the player's path. When used in battle, it wakes up all sleeping Pokemon and can be reused an infinite number of times. In the "Ruby," "Sapphire," and "Emerald" games as well as all fourth and fifth generation games, the Poke Flute is replaced with the Blue Flute. In "Pokemon HeartGold" and "Pokemon SoulSilver," players can obtain the Poke Flute after restoring power to the Power Plant.

Instructions

- 1
  Fly to Cerulean City and head east onto Route 9. Continue east until you reach the water. Surf south onto Route 10 and follow the path to reach the Power Plant.

  Talk to everyone inside the Power Plant and try to exit. The guard will stop you and inform you that a thief was spotted in Cerulean City.

  Fly back to Cerulean City and enter the Cerulean Gym. A Rocket Grunt will run past you. Follow him out of the gym and north onto the Nugget Bridge.

  Talk to the Rocket Grunt and he will battle you. Defeat his Golbat with a super-effective attack, and he will tell you he stashed the Machine Part inside the Cerulean Gym.

  Enter the Cerulean Gym and search the area around the buoy to find the Machine Part. Head back to the Power Plant and talk to the engineer on the ledge. He will take the Machine Part and restore power to the plant.

  Fly to Saffron City and head east to reach Lavender Town. Enter the Radio Tower and talk to the director to obtain the Expansion Card, which gives you access to the Pokeflute on Kanto Channel 20 on the PokeGear's radio.
