How to Transfer Pokemon From Fire Red to Soul Silver

"Pokémon Soul Silver," released in 2010, is a Japanese role-playing game for the Nintendo DS. In the game, your character is a Pokémon trainer who wants to become the best in the world by collecting Pokémon and dueling other trainers. If you have older Pokémon games, like "Fire Red," you can even transfer your Pokémon from that game into "Soul Silver." You have to unlock a certain part in "Soul Silver" before you can transfer your Pokémon, however.

     Defeat the Elite Four at the end of the first half of the game.

     Go to Fuchsia City on the world map and get the National Pokedex by talking to Oak. Save your game and turn off your DS.

     Place your "Fire Red" cartridge into the GameBoy Advance slot on the DS. Turn on your DS.

     Select "Migrate" from the main menu in "Soul Silver."

   • 5

     Go to Pal Park, formally called the Safari Zone, to catch the Pokémon you want to migrate.
