How to Get the National Pokedex in Pokemon Soul Silver

In the video game "Pokemon SoulSilver," you can only catch a certain number of Pokemon at the beginning of the game. Once you have filled up the Johto Pokedex, you will need to obtain the National Pokedex to continue catching more Pokemon. Once you have completed the main game and defeated the Elite Four, obtaining the National Pokedex is fairly simple and should only take a few minutes. The National Pokedex allows you to obtain data on all 493 Pokemon available in "Pokemon SoulSilver."

     Battle and defeat the Elite Four, and the Pokemon Champion. Once you have defeated them, the credits will roll. Save your file and restart the game.

     Go talk to Professor Elm in New Bark Town. He will hand you a boat pass.

     Travel to Olivine City and enter the boat dock using the boat pass. Professor Oak, the professor from "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue," will be there.

     Speak to Professor Oak. He will hand you the National Pokedex.
