How to Make Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story Work on R4i SDHC

"Mario &Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" is an action RPG about the famous plumber brothers for the Nintendo DS. The R4i SDHC is a flash card for the Nintendo DS and the DSi that allows you to play game ROMs with cheats. ROM stands for "read only memory"; a game ROM is a copy of the data inside a game's printed circuitry board ROM chip, meaning that the game ROM is a copy of a game. As long as you own the official version of the game you can use a flash card with the "Mario &Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" ROM on your R4i SDHC. If the game doesn't work, you'll need to update the flash card's firmware.

  Download the latest version of the R4i SDHC firmware from the R4i website.

  Open the zip file that mounts on your desktop by double-clicking on it.

  Place the Micro SD card you use with your R4i SDHC into the card reader and plug it into your USB port.

  Drag the new R4i SDHC firmware file into the root directory of the Micro SD card. The root directory is the main card file with no folders. Drag and drop a copy of the "Mario &Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" onto the Micro SD card as well.

  Remove the card reader from your computer and place the Micro SD card into the R4i SDHC. Plug the R4i SDHC into your DS or DSi and turn it on. Select "Mario &Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story" from the "Game" menu and click "B" to play it.
