How to Find the Game ID on Cartege

Rather than discs, the Nintendo DS handheld game system uses cartridges. Each game cartridge comes with its own set of info for the particular game. One piece of information that is useful is the game ID. You may be prompted to enter the ID of a certain game in order to access certain features on the DS, such as Action Replay. The game ID may also help you to access bonus features on the game's website. You can access the ID for "Cartege" for the DS right from the main screen.

Instructions

    • 1

Remove the game from the DS and locate the sticker on the bottom of the rear of the game cartridge. The game ID is an alphanumeric number listed on the sticker. If the sticker isn't on the game cartridge, proceed to the next step.

    • 2

Insert the Action Replay cheat cartridge into the cartridge compartment on the DS. Action Replay is available from most video game retailers.

    • 3

Remove the Action Replay cartridge when the main menu screen appears.

    • 4

Insert the "Cartege" game into the DS slot when the prompt appears on screen requesting you to insert a game. When the game is inserted, the name of the game will be listed on screen. Beneath this information the game ID will be listed.
