How to Get the Door to Open in Canalave City in Pokemon Pearl

In "Pokemon Pearl," there is a building in Canalave City with a locked door. Behind the locked door lies a child who will tell you about the Legendary Pokemon Darkrai. Darkrai is so powerful that it is actually banned from many tournaments. Because of its Dark-typing, Darkrai is only weak to FIghting- and Bug-type Pokemon. To open the door in Canalave City, you will need a Member's Pass. The Member's Pass was released by Nintendo in 2009, but as it is no longer available, you will have to use an Action Replay to obtain one.

Instructions

  Slide "Pokemon Pearl" into your DS Action Replay. Insert the DS Action Replay into the Nintendo DS itself and turn on the system.

  Use the D-Pad and "A" button to input this code at the codes screen:

  Press "Start" to begin playing "Pokemon Pearl."

  Select your "Pokemon Pearl" save file and press "A" to begin the game.

  Travel to Canalave City and show the Member's Pass to the sailor at the docks. He will allow you to travel to New Moon Island to battle Darkrai. Before you board the ship, you can enter the locked door to talk to the child about Darkrai.
