What Attacks Can Flygon Learn in Diamond?

Flygon, known as "The Desert Spirit," is a large, insectoid dragon Pokemon of dual-type ground/dragon. Evolving from the Vibrava Pokemon, Flygon's special abilities include Levitate, which allows it to avoid ground attacks, and the ability to kick up sandstorms. It also has access to Draco Meteor, where comets fall from the sky to pummel a targeted Pokemon. Leveling up Flygon in Pokemon Diamond allows it to learn over a dozen generation IV moves to supplement its repertoire.
  1. Level 0 Moves List

    • Flygon can learn several low-level moves at level 0. The moves list includes: Sonic Boom, Sand Attack, Faint Attack and Sand Tomb. Sonic Boom is a physical attack that strikes a target with a supersonic shockwave. The Sand Attack is a move where sand is thrown at a target, reducing its accuracy. Faint Attack is a sneak move where the player's Pokemon approaches its target and hits it unexpectedly. This move never misses. Sand Tomb traps a target within a sand storm where it is stuck, taking damage for two to five turns.

Levels 1 to 9 Moves List

    • As the Flygon levels up it is able to continuously learn new moves. However, only one move can be learned between levels 1 and 10: the upgraded Sand Attack. The next level of Sand Attack has the same effect as its previous level (it lowers the accuracy of the target) but affects all types of Pokemon more powerfully. This move is learned at level 9.

Levels 11 to 30 Moves List

    • The Flygon's initial moves list is enchanced during the leves 11 thought 30 with the ability to learn evolved forms of Faint Attack and Sand Tomb. The moves have the same effect, however deal more damage to the target. The Sand Tomb move gains an increase to its duration. It now has a trapping effect from 2 to 5 turns to 4 to 5 turns. The evolved Faint Attack is learned at level 17 and Sand Tomb at level 25.

Levels 31 to 50 Moves List

    • At this point, the Flygon has become quite powerful and its capabilities become further expanded by the addition of several new moves: Supersonic, Dragonbreath, Screech, Dragon Claw and Sandstorm. Supersonic is learned at level 33 and creates soundwaves that change to confuse a target. Dragonbreath, at level 35, allows the Flygon to exhale a gust of flame that causes damage to the target, potentially leaving the target paralysed. Screech, learned at level 41, is a move that greatly reduces the target's defense ability by emitting a loud screech. Dragon Claw, at level 45, slashes a target with huge claws dealing a great amount of damage. Sandstorm, at level 49, creates a sandstorm for five turns hurting all Pokemon except Rock, Ground and Steel types.

    Levels 50+ Moves List

    • The Flygon is capable of learning only one additional move beyond level 50: Hyper Beam. The Hyper Beam is a high-powered attack with a laser beam. The move is so powerful that it requires the Flygon to rest for a turn to regain its energy. However, this skipped turn occurs only if the Hyper Beam hits and does not defeat the target.
