How to Get Rid of Bubbles in DS Screen Guard

The Nintendo DS is a handheld gaming unit that comes with buttons in which to control the gameplay. The unit also comes with touch-screen capability if for a more interactive gaming experience. Since the DS LCD screen has this capacity it is a good idea to protect it. A screen guard is an inexpensive and effective way to prevent your DS screen from becoming scratched or damaged. However, since these protectors stick to the screen, it is possible for air bubbles or creases to form. This is a problem that can be solved with little effort.

Instructions

    • 1

Open your DS handheld so you have access to the screen.

    • 2

Run the edge of your plastic card along the area of the screen guard that is plagued with bubbles.

    • 3

Run the card over the area repeatedly until all bubbles and creases are removed from the guard. For more stubborn bubbles and creases, proceed to the next step.

    • 4

Peel the guard off of your DS screen by the corners and reapply it, making sure all sides and corners of the guard are flush with the sides and corners of the screen. These guards use a non-chemical adhesive so they are easy to remove and reapply, and they don't leave any messy residue on screen.
