How to Catch Torchic in Pearl

The "Pokemon" series of games for Nintendo's Gameboy and DS line of hand-held consoles have featured over 450 separate Pokemon characters over the series' creation in 1996. These characters have been released over "generations" or phases of the game series. A significant hardware jump between the third and fourth generations from games designed for the Nintendo Gameboy Advance and the Nintendo's DS means that the character "Torchic" is only available by a special form of trading through the in-game mechanic located at the "Pal Park." This in-game location allows trading of Pokemon from generation III to generation IV and above.
