How to Find Your Secret ID in Pearl

"Pokemon Pearl" is the first Generation Five "Pokemon" game released for the Nintendo DS. Upon starting the game, a Pokemon trainer ID number is automatically given to each player. These numbers are given to make sure that the Pokemon caught within the game will obey their rightful owner. From "Pokemon: Generation 3" onward, an additional ID was given, known as the secret ID. If gamers can reveal their secret ID, they can use the Action Replay cheating device to give themselves any type of Pokemon desired.

Pause the game and navigate to your money amount. The amount of money you have will be your secret ID number. All secret IDs have five numbers. If your money amount is only four numbers, this means that the first number of your ID is a zero. For example, if your money amount changes to 1234, your secret ID number would be 01234.
