How to Get an Electabuzz in Pokemon Pearl

Electabuzz is a powerful Electric-type Pokemon that was first introduced in "Pokemon Red" and "Pokemon Blue." Although you cannot catch an Electabuzz, you can still obtain one by capturing an Elekid -- the pre-evolution of Electeabuzz -- and leveling it up to level 30 so that it can evolve. The only way to obtain an Elekid is to have a copy of "Pokemon FireRed" inserted into the Game Boy Advance cartridge of the Nintendo DS.

Instructions

  Insert "Pokemon FireRed" into the DS. Turn on the system, and start your "Pokemon Pearl" game file.

  Travel to either the southern part of Route 204 or the Valley Windworks.

  Walk around the patches of grass until you encounter an Elekid. Be warned that it may take some time, as Elekid has only an 8 percent encounter rate.

  Use a Ground-type Pokemon to weaken Elekid. Throw a Pokeball or any other ball to capture it.

  Raise Elekid to level 30 to evolve it. Once it has evolved, you will have an Electabuzz in your party.
