How to Catch a Barboach in the 'Pokemon on Pearl' the Game

Barboach is a Water/Ground-type Pokemon first introduced in the third generation of Pokemon games. Barboach's typing makes it unique in that it has only one major weakness: Grass-type Pokemon. Fortunately, Barboach can be found in practically every body of water in "Pokemon Pearl." The only thing needed to capture a Barboach is a Good Rod, which is given to you by the Fishing Guru in Hearthome City.

Instructions

- 1
  Obtain the Good Rod by traveling to Hearthome City and talking to the Fishing Guru.

  Travel to any of the following places: Route 205, Route 208, Route 210, Route 212, Route 227, Route 228, the Deserted Escape Path, Celestic Town, Eterna City, Safari Zone, Mt. Coronet or Oreburgh City.

  Use the Good Rod at any of the bodies of water in any of the places mentioned in Step 2.

  Fish until you encounter a Barboach. Barboach has a 35 percent encounter rate, so it should not take you long to find one.

  Use a Grass-type Pokemon to weaken Barboach, and capture it with a Pokeball.
