How to Get a Muk on Pokemon: Diamond

Muk is a Poison-type Pokemon that evolves from a Grimer. The only way to obtain a Muk in "Pokemon Diamond" is to catch a Grimer and evolve it. Thankfully, Grimers are fairly abundant on the southern portion of Route 212 with an encounter rate of 12 percent. Muk is a fairly strong Pokemon with a high special attack that works well against Grass-type Pokemon and Bug-type Pokemon. Muk is especially weak against Psychic-type Pokemon and Fire-type Pokemon.

     Make your way to Route 212. Wander around in the grass until you encounter a Grimer. The Grimers on Route 212 will be between level 18 and level 20.

     Use a Psychic-type Pokemon or Fire-type Pokemon to weaken the Grimer. When the Grimer's health bar drops to the red area, use a Pokeball to capture it.

     Place the Grimer in your party and defeat other Pokemon to raise its level. Once the Grimer has reached level 38, it will evolve into Muk.
