How to Defeat the Angry Caterpillar in Bowser's Inside Story

Attack the segments of Wiggler's body using Bowser's punch attack. When you attack a segment, it turns from red to yellow.

Repeat your attacks on Wiggler's body until you have targeted each segment and turned it yellow. This will cause his face to turn yellow, allowing you to attack it.

Select the punch attack and target Wiggler's face until he turns red again. When he turns red, repeat the strategy to turn his body and face yellow. Continue to do this to whittle down Wiggler's health points.

Select Bowser's inhale ability when Wiggler summons Leaf Guys to suck them up. When you do this, they will drop the turnip they were carrying, which falls on Wiggler's head and turns him instantly yellow. The Leaf Guys will be sucked into Bowser's body, where Mario and Luigi must destroy them.

As Mario and Luigi, select your strongest air attacks, such as Jump and Fireball, to destroy the Leaf Guys. Once they are destroyed, the fight returns to Bowser, who can now attack Wiggler as he has turned fully yellow.

Choose the right defensive strategy when Wiggler attacks Bowser to avoid damage and counterattack. When Wiggler grows attack items from the ground and begins throwing them at you, use your shell to block Leaf Guys and use your punch to bat away turnips. Punch Wiggler when he charges for you and continue to punch him until he is at full height and begins to fall onto Bowser. When Wiggler falls on you, use your shell to block the attack.

Continue to employ these strategies to eventually defeat Wiggler.
