How to Get the Flexible Fishing Rod in MySims for DS

Freshwater fishing can yield you all sorts of tasty fish for your Sim in "MySims" for the Nintendo DS, a 2007 spin-off from "The Sims" simulation game series. You'll start off with a basic fishing rod early in the game, but once you've demonstrated your proficiency to Joseph at the fishing shop, you'll be eligible to upgrade to the flexible fishing rod, which makes freshwater fishing easier.

     Fish for a while with your regular fishing rod at your favorite freshwater fishing spots.

     Take the fish you catch to Joseph at the Fishing Shop at night, and talk to him. If he doesn't tell you that you're "getting the hang of freshwater fishing," go back and fish some more.

     Return to Joseph to receive the Flexible Fishing Rod, which he will give to you once you have fished enough.
