How to Catch a Venomoth in Pokemon Diamond

In "Pokemon Diamond," Venomoth is the final evolution of the Bug-type Pokemon Venonat. It is a Poison- and Bug-type Pokemon that has strong special attack and high speed statistics, able to learn a variety of moves such as Psychic, Signal Beam and Poison Fang. Venomoth can be found only on Route 229 after you have obtained the National Pokedex, visited the Pal Park and received the PokeRadar from Professor Oak.

Instructions

  Travel to Snowpoint City and head to the pier. Talk to the sailor to take the ferry to the Battle Zone.

  Walk east until you reach the Resort Area. Head north through the exit gate to reach Route 229.

  Walk into any patch of tall grass and press "Start" to open the in-game menu. Open your "Key Items" bag and select "PokeRadar." You will see a few patches of tall grass start to rustle.

  Walk onto the patches of rustling grass to encounter a wild Venomoth. If you do not encounter a Venomoth, run away from battle and continue walking around on the rustling grass until a wild Venomoth appears.

  Battle and weaken Venomoth with strong physical attacks until its hit points are in the red zone.

  Throw a Poke Ball to capture it. If it breaks free, continue throwing Poke Balls until it is captured.
