How to Get a Moonstone in Diamond

Most Pokemon evolve by leveling up; others evolve when you give them an evolution stone. In "Pokemon Diamond," the moonstone is a special item that you can use to evolve Nidorina, Nidorino, Clefairy, Skitty, Jigglypuff and Munna into their last evolutionary forms. You can use the Explorer Kit in Eterna City to visit the underground area in Sinnoh. There, you can dig up spheres, fossils, plates, moonstones and other items with your pickaxe or hammer.

Instructions

  Go to Eterna City and enter the home that is west of the PokeCenter. Speak to the only man inside. The Underground Man will give you the Explorer Kit. This is the Key Item you will use to go to Sinnoh Underground.

  Exit the home and go your "Bag." Select "Explorer Kit" from the Key Items pocket. After a few seconds, you will be in the underground area. Look at the map of the underground area. Travel to the yellow sparkles, which indicate a hidden item, on the map.

  Use your stylus to tap the touchscreen lightly. White sparkles will appear around you. After one second, the sparkles will disappear. Walk up to where one sparkle used to be. Press the "A" button while standing in front of the spot.

  Break the rocks to uncover a hidden item during the Evacuation mini-game. Continue triggering and playing this mini-game until you find the moonstone. Since moonstones are very rare, you may have to play dozens of times before you find one.

  Press the "X" button to look at your inventory of items. Select "Treasure" and highlight the "Moon Stone" with the D-pad. Select the item with the "A" button. Move the moonstone to your above ground "Bag" by choosing "Put in Bag."
