Things You'll Need
Instructions
Start your DS device without the "Personal Trainer: Walking" game card in place. You must set the time and date on the actual DS device. Use the stylus to click on the clock on your DS screen. Use your stylus to touch the arrows to go up or down on the time. Select "Confirm" when you are done setting the time.
Turn your Nintendo DS system off. Insert the "Personal Trainer: Walking" game card into the card slot of your DS. You will hear a click when it is inserted all the way.
Remove the plastic tab from your "Activity Meter Accessory" and throw it away. Place the accessory so the sensor is facing the DS game card and is within 2 inches of it. Keep both of these devices as still as you can as you change the time, as they send information to each other. There will be a red blinking light when data is being sent.
Turn the system on, read the "Health and Safety Screen" and touch the screen with your stylus when you are done. This will take you to the DS menu screen. Select "Personal Trainer: Walking" on the screen with your stylus to begin.
Select "Register a Player" from the title screen and touch "Next." Push the communications button to make contact between your Activity Meter accessory and the game card in your DS device.
Watch the short introduction information for the accessory. After the introduction is done, your time and date settings will display on your DS screen. It will ask you whether the settings are correct.
Select "Yes" if the settings are correct and they will be recorded on the walking meter accessory. If the correct time didn't save, start at Step 1 and try again.
Connect the accessory to the game card. You are ready to start recording information on your walking meter accessory.
