How to Get a Copter in Nintendogs

Created by the master designer Shigero Miyamoto, "Nintendogs" is a pet care game for the Nintendo DS. Players adopt a dog, bath him, take him for walks and buy him gifts. The copter is a toy that both the player and the dog can entertain themselves with. When the player uses it, the copter becomes a mini-game of its own, and the player can fly it around the dog house. In order to get the copter, players need a little luck. It appears randomly at the Discount Store, and as with a real-world pawn shop, its stock varies greatly from day to day.

Instructions

  Click the "Walk" button to take your dog on a walk.

  Use the DS Pen to draw a path to one of the two Discount Stores.

  Play through the dog walking mini-game. Your performance won't affect whether or not you arrive at the Discount Store. If you fail to scoop up dog poop or let your dog eat garbage, it will result in you losing points, though. To scoop up poop just click it with the stylus. To stop your dog from eating garbage, yank his leash by drawing a backwards line with the stylus.

  Peruse the inventory at the Discount Shop. If you're lucky, they'll have a copter. If not, you'll have to come back another day.

  Click on the copter and select "Buy." It costs $300. Once it's yours, you can select it from your inventory at home.
