How to Get a Shade Berry on Viva Pinata for DS

Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise, designed for the Nintendo DS video game console, features dozens of candy-filled Pinatas to attract to the video-game users' garden. To get those Pinatas, users often need special plants, such as the nightshade plant. Nightshade is poisonous and most Pinatas get sick when they eat it. Some Pinatas, though, enjoy eating the berries of this deadly plant. For example, when a Lickatoad eats a single nightshade berry, it turns into the rare and valuable Lackatoad. Nightshade berries are obtained from the store. It is also possible to grow nightshade bushes for a steady supply of berries.

Instructions

  Collect experience points until you are at least a level-eight gardener. Gain experience points when you discover new Pinatas, breed Pinatas or grow new plants.The nightshade seed and berry are unlocked at level eight.

  Go to Costolot's Store. If you want to buy a single nightshade berry, select "Produce." Select the nightshade berry to buy it for 280 coins.

  Buy the nightshade seed for 140 coins if you want to grow a nightshade bush in the garden. Select the spot where you want to plant the seed.

  Purchase some fencing to put around the nightshade bush as it grows. This keeps your Pinatas from eating the berries when the plant matures.
