How to Get Ancient Power in Soul Silver

Ancient Power is a Rock-type move with a Base Power of 60 and an Accuracy of 100. This move doesn't come in the form of a Technical Machine (TM). If you want to teach Ancient Power to a Pokemon in "Pokemon Soul Silver," you will need to speak to one of the three Move Tutors at the Frontier Front. If you request that the man teach Ancient Power to one of your Pokemon, he will request a fee of 40 Battle Points (BP).

Instructions

  Put the Pokemon to whom you want to teach Ancient Power into your party. Check Serebii.net (see Resources) to determine whether the Pokemon can learn Ancient Power from the Move Tutor. The Move Tutor can teach Ancient Power to several dozen Pokemon.

  Go to the Battle Frontier, which is north of Route 40. Fight battles at the Battle Factory, Battle Tower, Battle Castle, Battle Arcade or Battle Hall. You will earn three to seven BP after you defeat a set of seven Pokemon Trainers. Continue battling until you have 40 BP.

  Travel to the Frontier Front and enter the house that is south of the PokeCenter. Speak to the man sitting in the upper-right seat. Pick the Pokemon that needs tutoring from your party of Pokemon.

  Select "Ancient Power" from the list of moves. Your character will give the 40 BP to the man. The Move Tutor will teach Ancient Power to your Pokemon. If you Pokemon knows four moves, you will have to delete a move to make room for Ancient Power.
