How to Defeat the Boss in Vale River in Rune Factory

Vale River is the winter dungeon in "Rune Factory 3." Amid the frozen twisty river and the snow-covered ground, you will battle against enemy monsters. At the end of the Vale River dungeon, you will face a boss battle. The Death Wall has HP (hit points) totaling 12,000. It is completely resistant against earth, water, wind and dark magic spells. Defeat the Death Wall and enjoy a water crystal and an ice shard as a reward.

Instructions

  Level up to a minimum of level 30 on basic mode or level 40 on hard mode. You selected your mode before you began the game. Since hard mode makes enemies tougher to beat and stronger when it comes to their damage, you will need to be stronger yourself in order to withstand its attacks.

  Equip a weapon with the love property during the battle. This will take advantage of the Death Wall's weakness against love magic.

  Hit the Death Wall with fire magic, particularly "Explosion." Fire is among the few magics that can damage the Death Wall.

  Avoid its ice chunk attack. When the Death Wall throws balls of ice at you, simply run to the bottom of the screen to avoid damage. Stay a distance from the wall when it attacks and bide your time for a good opportunity.

  Attack the wall when it transforms into a sword. If you keep your distance from the Death Wall, it will turn into a long sword to try to attack you. Sidestep past its sword self and attack the wall at this moment.
