How to Get Certain Pinatas in Your Garden on 'Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise'

New pinatas gradually appear to patient and creative gardeners in "Viva Pinata: Pocket Paradise" for the Nintendo DS. Most of the pinata animals in this game have strict requirements that must be met before they will set their papery feet into your garden. Although the pinatas are fairly picky when choosing a garden to live in, a smart gardener will quickly use the tools available to find out what a pinata likes and dislikes. Understanding the wild pinatas is a great way to get them to stay in the garden.

Instructions

    • 1

Level up as often as possible. New pinatas appear to gardeners after each experience level they gain. For example, Fizzlybears don't appear until the player reaches level eight.

    • 2

Touch a pinata animal as it wanders the outside border of your garden to open an information tab about the individual's species. Use this list of resident requirements to lure it into becoming a permanent resident of your garden.

    • 3

Set out the required items inside your garden to get the pinata to visit. A Fizzlybear needs three jars of honey or 12 fir cones sitting in the garden before it will cross the border and visit.

    • 4

Place the items close together and reposition them near the pinata you want to hold its interest. Although a Fizzlybear needs to eat only two honey jars or eight fir cones, it is good to have an abundance of extra food items to keep the pinata coming back if it doesn't consume enough to be a resident the first time it visits.
