How to Find a Game ID

The Nintendo DSi is a handheld video game console that uses small cartridges to play games on it. Every game released on the Nintendo DSi has an identification key that helps Nintendo and certain programs, such as the Action Replay game modifier, identify the exact cartridge. If you need to identify your exact cartridge to a program, you must know where to locate the game's identification key. This is printed directly on the label.

     Open your game's case.

     Remove the cartridge from the inner pocket.

   • 3

     Locate the identification key in the lower-right corner. This is an alphabetic key displayed in a XXX-XXXX-XXX format. For example, "The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks" identification is NTR-BKIE-USA.
