How to Get a Brown Ponytail on Animal Crossing

You are given the option to select a name and gender when starting a new character in "Animal Crossing: Wild World" for the Nintendo DS, but the character's looks are random. You can visit the hair salon "Shampoodle" if you do not like the hairstyle your character ends up with. Unfortunately, Shampoodle is not available until the store in your town has undergone the final upgrade to "Nookington's Department Store." You can always visit a friend's town via wireless connection if they have a Nookington's in their town and you do not.

Instructions

  Visit the Shampoodle shop located on the first floor of Nookington's Department store at any time between the hours of 8:00 AM and 11:00 PM. Talk to Harriet to begin your haircut. You must have at least 3,000 Bells to pay for the haircut. Your character will get into the chair automatically and Harriet will ask you a series of questions. Your answers determine the type of hairstyle you receive.

  Select the answer "Big nights!" to Harriet's first question.

  Select the answer "Well, duh!" to answer Harriet's second question.

  Select the answer "RAWK!" to complete the first part of the haircut. This will give you the "Fun-Loving Type" hairstyle, which is a ponytail for girl characters. Next Harriet will ask you to select a color.

  Choose "Cool Colors" from the color menu and then select "Mysterious" to have a dark brown ponytail. Choose "Warm Colors" from the color menu and then select "Safe" for a light brown ponytail.
