How to Defeat Optimus Prime in DS

Activision's "Transformers: Decepticons" was released for the Nintendo DS in 2007 and is based on the "Transformers" movie released in that year. Players control the evil Decepticons in an attempt to destroy Optimus Prime and the heroic Autobots. Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobot faction, is the final boss in the game. Players encounter him as the final enemy in the Tranquility mission. Destroying Optimus allows players to complete the mission.

Instructions

  Use your heavy blaster weapon to inflict damage on Optimus Prime.

  Run around Optimus Prime in a circle so that Optimus does not get the chance to lock onto you with his missile launcher.

  Dodge Optimus' missiles by dashing to the left and right or jumping into the air. Optimus shoots three missiles at a time before he must reload.

  Collect the health packs scattered around the arena to regain any lost health. Do not attempt to grab a health pack until after Optimus has attempted to shoot you.

  Continue to shoot Optimus until his health bar, located in the top right corner of the screen, is depleted, at which point Optimus collapses, signifying his defeat.
