A Nintendo DS bundle is designed to help new players with the console. Bundles vary depending on the items included but sell for a discounted price. The theory is the bundle is a better deal so customers buy the bundle that includes the console. It is also helpful for parents or adults who don't know what items are needed to play with Nintendo DS.

Starter Kits
- Starter kits are the best DS bundles for first time DS users. These bundles include not only a system, but also all the essentials to use the Nintendo DS. For example most starter bundles include a travel case, carrying case, travel charger, wall charger, additional styluses, screen protectors, ear buds, manuals and a USB SD card reader.
DSi XL Bundles
- The DSi XL is a special edition Nintendo DS that has a larger screen for easier viewing. The system is available only through a bundle. This bundle includes the system, stylus and Mario Kart DS game.

- Popular games that are available as a "special edition" sell as part of a console bundle. For example, limited edition "Pokemon Black" games are sold in bundles as well as "Mario" games. These bundles include all items needed to play the game such as a stylus and charger.

- Voyager bundles are available for a variety of Nintendo DS consoles. This means you will find bundles contained styluses, voyager cases and Nintendo DSi and DS Lite. As Nintendo 3DSes age they will likely be available in such bundles as well. Some voyager bundles come with games as well, depending on the bundle.
