If you want to start over in "Nintendogs: Dalmatian &Friends" or trade the game to a friend, you will first need to wipe the game data. Erasing the game data removes all of your unlocked items, trainer points, accessories, breeds and locations. This action cannot be undone, so be prepared to permanently lose everything you have earned over the course of your "Nintendogs" career. Deleting your data requires only a few simple button presses.

Turn off the Nintendo DS.

Turn the system back on and load "Nintendogs."

Press and hold the "A," "B," "X," "Y," "L," and "R" buttons while the game loads.

Confirm that you would like to clear your file by hitting "Yes."
