How to Fix a Bricked Action Replay DS

The Action Replay for Nintendo DS adds cheats and modifications to the game that in-game cheat menus do not allow. If the Action Replay is not functioning correctly, Codejunkies, Action Replay's manufacturer, lists a number of reasons why; they are fixable by resetting the Action Replay. The most common problem with the DS Action Replay is that it states that it does not have enough free space when in fact nothing is stored on it.

     Place the Action Replay into the DS cartridge slot when the system is turned off.

     Hold "A" and "B" and press the "Power" button.

     Hold "Start" and "Select" while continuing to hold "A" and "B" when you see the Action Replay DS license screen.

     Let go of all four buttons when the Action Replay home screen appears.
