How to Get a Mystery Part or a Secret Slab

The Mystery Part and the Secret Slab are items that are functionally identical to each other that appear in the Pokemon games, "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time", "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness," and "Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Sky." When you have a Mystery Part or a Secret Slab in your bag, certain legendary Pokemon will begin to appear on the floors of various dungeons. The Mystery Parts and Secret Slabs are usually obtained as rewards from random missions that are given to you by the in-game Wonder Mail system.

  Recruit Manaphy by talking to him in-game, and have your computer-controlled teammate do the same. You cannot begin to receive Mystery Parts or Secret Slabs until you have recruited Manaphy and he tells you about the Marine Resort.

  Open a message in your Wonder Mail. Oftentimes, these messages will contain passwords that you can write down for later. Wonder Mail passwords can also sometimes be found on the Pokemon official website, and give access to unique missions and dungeons.

  Enter your password into the Wonder Mail option on your character's Menu screen. Doing this will put the mission on your character's Job List.

  Perform the mission designated by the Wonder Mail message. Missions can range from simple escort tasks in low-level dungeons to more dangerous battle missions in higher-level dungeons. When you complete the mission, you will receive a random reward. This will occasionally be a Mystery Part or a Secret Slab, which you can use to go retrieve your legendary Pokemon.
