How to Get Alucard's Sword in Dawn of Sorrow

Enter the part of the game known as the Abyss by venturing the the far-right side of the map and activating the portal on the left-hand side of the bottom of the mine.

Enter the first save point just below the Abyss entrance. Equip the Succubus soul and any dagger-type weapon that has a back-stabbing special move. The Katar or the Cinquedea are examples of such a weapon.

Save the game. Quit to the main menu and copy your saved game to a new slot. The glitch may damage your save file, so it is a good idea to not do this on your main save. Load the copied save and stand as close as you can to the left wall of the save room.

Activate the Succubus attack. Just as Soma raises his arms into the air, perform a special attack with your dagger. Attack normally three times with the dagger. Perform one more special attack. This will move Soma off of the screen and into the wall.

Hold down and then press the "Jump" button to slide. Pay attention to the bottom screen. It will flicker if you are sliding successfully. Continue sliding until the location marker on the map screen indicates that you are about one quarter of the way from the top of the map and one quarter of the way from the left side of the map.

Hold down the left button for four minutes and 30 seconds. Soma will land back on the map. Open the configuration menu from the pause screen and select "Default." Return to the game. Return to the save room and open the item list to check for Alucard's Sword.

Repeat the glitch if you do not get Alucard's Sword the first time.
