How to Build a Roller Coaster in Theme Park DS

In the game "Theme Park" for the Nintendo DS, players can select from a large group of pre-made roller coasters or create their own custom roller coasters. When concocting a custom coaster, users can choose the exact location, include various features and add extras such as loops and corkscrews. Using the stylus makes the construction simple. You can pinpoint the exact location of the roller-coaster parts and watch an alternate angle on the top DS screen.

Instructions

    • 1

Use the stylus to tap on the "Build" or "Ride" icon. Select the "Roller Coaster" icon to load the list of roller coasters.

    • 2

Click the "Tool" icon to start building your custom coaster.

    • 3

Point to the location on the map where you wish to start building the roller coaster. Select from the roller-coaster pieces on the bottom screen; the top screen will show the piece in place. Press "A" to add the piece to the roller coaster. For large hills, select the "track" pieces that will drag the coaster cart up the hill.

    • 4

Add parts to build the roller coaster. Do not make too many drops in a row or the guests will be scared of the ride.

    • 5

Add extras -- such as loops and corkscrews -- to the roller coaster. Click the "Arrow" tool to load the extra coaster tracks.

    • 6

Connect the track to the starting point of the coaster. This will automatically complete the ride and add an entryway for guests.

    • 7

Apply line queues to the front entrance of the roller coaster so that guests can wait in line. Click on the roller coaster to open the ride.
