How to Create a New Game on SoulSilver

You can keep only one saved game at a time on the Nintendo DS video game "Pokemon SoulSilver." If you want to start a new game, you need to erase all the data for your old game to make room for the new one on the game cartridge. This will delete all the progress you made in your old game, so start a new game only if you're completely sure you're finished with the old one.

      Put the "Pokemon SoulSilver" cartridge in your Nintendo DS and boot it up.

      Go to the title screen of "Pokemon SoulSilver," hold down the "B" and "Select" buttons and press the "Up" button on the D-pad.

      Select "Yes" when the prompt comes up asking if you want to delete all of your game data.

      Select "Yes" again when the second prompt comes up warning you that this will erase all of your data forever.

      Proceed to the game's main menu and select "New Game."
