How to Catch a Nincada on Pearl

In "Pokemon Pearl" you receive the PokeRadar when you first arrive in Pal Park from Professor Oak. The PokeRadar allows you to guarantee a Wild Pokemon encounter. However, it can also be used to catch Pokemon such as Nincada, which are not part of the Sinnoh Pokedex. Nincada is a Bug Type Pokemon that can also learn Ground Type attacks, making it a versatile Pokemon to have in your collection. However, Nincada is not available in "Pokemon Pearl" until the completion of the game's main storyline.

Instructions

  Complete the game's main storyline and defeat the Elite Four at the end of the game using your toughest Pokemon and best special moves.

  Encounter every Pokemon in the Sinnoh region at least once to complete the Sinnoh Pokedex. Open your Pokedex from the in-game menu to find out which Pokemon you have yet to encounter.

  Travel to Eterna Forest region using your preferred mode of transportation. Walk into a patch of grass.

  Open your menu and select the PokeRadar. A part of the grass patch will begin to rustle. Walk over the disturbance to activate a Wild Pokemon Battle.

  Battle Nincada to weaken its health points enough so that you can capture it. Use your strongest attacks and when Nincada's health points are low, use a Pokeball to capture it.
