What Is the MVP Trophy for in Final Fantasy Tactics?

When you play "Final Fantasy Tactics A2: Grimoire of the Rift" on the Nintendo DS, you determine your characters' strengths. Determine which job or jobs each character will have and battle to increase their experience and skills. Battles reward you with experience points, money and items. You will also see an MVP trophy attached to one or more characters' names.
  1. The MVP Trophy

    • At the end of each battle, you will see the message "Complete" appear on the bottom screen. The message will then transform into a "Results" page. Each clan member who fought will have a box with his name. The boxes will say how many EXP, experience points, each clan member has earned. One or more of the clan members will have a little trophy icon and the "MVP," or "most valuable player," message attached to the box.

    MVP Trophy Winner

    • The game gives out the MVP Trophy automatically. One factor is which clan member causes the most total damage to the enemies in the battle. The MVP may also refer to the clan member who destroys the largest number of enemies. Other factors include the clan member who performed the most actions in the battle, such as casting spells, moving across the battlefield and using items. More than one clan member may receive the MVP Trophy in a single battle if they were equally effective in battle.

    Rewards for MVP

    • Whichever clan member receives the MVP Trophy gets an instant bonus: extra experience points. The number of bonus experience points differs depending on the total number of experience points earned. Another reward of the MVP Trophy is an increase in that clan member's success during dispatch missions. Dispatch missions are missions you send clan members on without overseeing the action. Send a team full of clan members who frequently earn the MVP Trophy and your dispatch missions will have a higher rate of success.

    Earn the MVP

    • Although the game automatically gives out the MVP Trophy after each battle, you can steer the game in the direction you want. If you want to make a certain character the MVP who will earn extra experience points and perform better on dispatch missions, plan your battles. Command other characters to "Wait" during the battle, which will cause the battle to pass on their turns. Fight only with the character you want to be your MVP.
